Gibb River Road - Manning Gorge
If at first you don't succeed , try try again. That was the moto I was always told when young and to the best of my ability have applied it to my life.
The 2.5 klm ( one way ) walk into Manning Gorge with its rocky outcrop and undulating landscape proved a little to difficult for me to conquer but at least i tried. I don't see it as a failure just something that i have yet to complete...another time , maybe!
"Motivational Rock", where I motivated from 2 Klm's in!
I estimate that I did approx 2 klm so all in all about 4 k round trip which for me is quite an achievement , the best part was the end & the swim back across the manning river it was awesome !!
Swimming across Manning Gorge
Bill and the others did finish the walk & all enjoyed a refreshing dip before tackling the hot, rocky walk back They took some lovely photos of Manning Gorge to show me which i appreciated very much. Secretly though i think i enjoyed the river swim more than they did the gorge!
So, i think i will tick this off my to do list as done...for now at least
